‘The Mind, explained’

I once again worked with Vox Media and Netflix on the second season of ‘Explained‘. This time around I focused on ‘The Mind Explained‘ and ‘Sex, Explained’ miniseries while providing additional animation support for the main series.

For the Mind Explained I worked alongside Yuval Haker to create a focused minimalist world using mostly black and white with some spot colors to draw focus to important segments. This miniseries required a large amount of hand-drawn animation in combination with Motion Graphics and really allowed me to stretch my animation chops.

In 2020 ‘The Mind, explained’ was nominated for an Emmy for outstanding graphic design and art direction.
